The vets and stuff are excellent at what they do but the appointment aollocation and time keeping is very poor. Allow 45 for an appointment as you won't be seen at your appointment time; waiting time will vary between 15-30min post allocated appointment time. I have used this vet for 4 years and its always been the same.
Do not think you can use an hour lunch break to have you dog seen for a breif checkup let alone something more complicated.

Be aware!
They will admister treatment without consent and then charge you for it anyway.
By law they must discuss any treatment before hand.
I took my puppy who was being checked for Anel glands infection to come out with a steroid injection without concent because he was a hot dog, this was in July on a hot day.
I then had the pup booked in for routine booster injections. Rang and popped in to confirm price as I had to borrow the cash to pay. On leaving again I had a bill for almost double this time he was injected with a kennel cough vaccination which I wasn’t asked if I wanted as it’s separate to the routine booster you give once a year.
After leaving now witha debt on account I rang and spoke with a solicitor from royal collage of veterans. Who informed me this was on there part breaching the code of ethics when any pet is handed over no treatment must be given without owners consents
So with this information I went spoke with manager who wiped the debt from my account and told me that the new vets at the practice were doing this without anyone knowledge.
So be aware and question anything you haven’t given consent for and don’t pay! They have no right to do this and it is shocking standard.
So a update on the absolute shocking way this vet practice has squeezed as much money as possible out on me. As above this so called vets, seen my dog multiple times knowing he was having issues with his stomach. Every time he was unwell they give me paste and some very expensive food which my don't eat. As he on a diet of boiled chicken and dry food. There was never any solution to his illness sickness diahorea almost most monthly. He was always asked to come to the vets 100 a time and just give him same medication. As you can imagine I became anxious and stressed as I had no money debt was piling on my account. Still my dog was not getting better. I'd ask for just the prescription and I'd be told no, he must be seen. Nice way to make unnecessary extra money. I become so upset I was to the point I was going to have to have to re-home him as cost were spiraling. I was told to contact PDSA even though I had insurance they wouldn't pay out as it was a ongoing issue. I went to the PDSA first visit they had a good check over him. Diagnosis was a ulcer. Which I've been given medication which cost me 15 a month. My dog has become happy eats well and is ill less frequently. He has reviews every six months and the worry has now gone as we know what we were dealing with. I've now got a ccj as I was unable to pay the money in a quick time. These vets do not care about anything but making money. They will see a opportunity to fleece you and will with no concerns about the pets health or yours. I'd avoid this practice like the plague. I nearly lost my dog because of the debt they put me In. Thanks you to the wonderful PDSA for helping me when these didn't.

I really can't thank Vets for Pets Bridgend enough. I have an aging Cocker Spaniel who has list an eye due to Glaucoma, has a heart complaint and now has a cataract in his remaining eye. It's thanks to the vets that he is able to still live quite happily despite all this. The owner of the practice is a brilliant vet who doesn't beat around the bush, she tells you straight as they should. The girls on reception are really helpful when it comes to appointments and try hard to accommodate.
We all know that pet drugs are expensive which is not their fault, they are restricted as to who they get drugs from, but they will happily give you a prescription to buy online, which is an easy process. Thank you to all at Vets for Pets Bridgend.

Cannot stress how incredible the staff have all been during our recent trips.
My 9 week old kitten recently became very ill and, as first time pet owners, we were really unsure and scared. The staff have been so kind, helpful and accommodating. At no point have i ever been made to feel stupid or like a bad owner for not knowing things, nor have they been condescending in any way. Theyve always explained things theyre doing and their thinking of what could be wrong.
Its been a bit challenging as we havent been able to diagnose what the illness is, but i in no way blame the service for that, unfortunately sometimes it is that way. But thanks to the vets and nurses doing a great job supporting us and out kitten shes improving day by day! I phone the clinic each day to give an update on how our kitten is doing and every time they always seem so delighted to hear how shes progressing.
Due to our kitten being so young her insurance isnt active yet, meaning all of this we were paying out of pocket. The staff have been incredible with this too. Theyve made sure everything they do has been within the means of what we can afford whilst still trying to solve the problem, theyve made us aware of all the options we have such as finance plans etc. and even then, i think the prices have been incredible. I was expecting to pay a LOT, and realistically weve spent less than a fraction of what i was told by friends to expect. The prices are great.
All in all, id definitely recommend this vet and im so glad we chose this clinic! Bit of a long review but i really feel these staff deserve all the praise they can receive, im aware theyre “just doing their jobs” but i really feel like theyve gone above and beyond in regards to making us feel comfortable and supported :)

As usual we were really happy with the treatment our little dog received. We always feel we have the best professional advice whilst still feeling that our views as the owner, are listened to. We wouldn’t go anywhere else for our little dogs care.

Fred just had his first vaccines and microchip with a lovely vet nurse. Booking in was smooth and less than a 5 min wait. Nice staff. Spacious waiting area. Nice and calm. There's also a lift to the floor the vets are on. Good for mums with prams or for people with disabilities etc.
